Particular cultural and historical systems are currently driving globalization and in the process changing societies from one place to another in the entire world. As much as people are aware of the term Globalization, not many fully understand what it fully means and in truth it's hard to define this phenomenon fully.Globalization has a different definition in the contemporary world or this "age of globalization." The various partie s involved in this phenomena define globalization emphasizing mostly on the economic dimension. Globalization is the increased interdependence and integration of countries that comes as a result of the flow of ideas, finance, trade and people from one country to another. It can also be defined as the process of empowering investment and financial markets so that they can be able to operate at an international level mostly as a result of improving communication and deregulation (Beck, 2015). On the other hand, some definitions of globalization concentrate on the other significant dimensions of globalization which are psychological, geographic and social aspects here globalization is seen as a social process whereby some geographic obstacles to cultural and social arrangements are seen as not important or significant enough to people. Nevertheless, whatever definition one fancy, globalization does exist, and it has its advantages and disadvantages.Putting in mind the various dimensio ns of globalization commonly spiritual, economic, political, cultural and technological aspect, globalization does have its advantages and disadvantages. Viewing globalization from an optimistic perspective, the global exchange of technology, ideas, goods, and services is at times much beneficial and can assist in building positive relationships between various countries. In developing countries around the globe, trade has been recorded to improve economic growth of these counties significantly. Globalization helps in reducing poverty among these nations through the development of tourism and industry, disposal of inexpensive products and sharing of resources. A survey done in 15 African countries showed that 85 percent of these countries believed the trade was improving their economy and that it has become an important part of their life (Bishop, Reinke Adams, 2011).Globalization is what controls international trade.Additionally, globalization significantly breaks the barrier that exists between people and that keeps people divided by increasing understanding of different culture in the world. Globalization has helped people from different cultures come together, respect and appreciate other peoples culture. The common and unacceptable human rights violations behaviors are constantly exposed and fought with the help of international governments, organizations, and communities. Equally, globalization is also considered to have some negative impacts.
